About Eric Holder, founder, HolderComm

Eric Holder helps companies harness AI to drive growth and turn innovation into real-world impact. He is a strategist, product leader and communications expert. As a strategist, he integrates AI into marketing and operations through go-to-market plans that drive demand, growth and adoption. As a product leader, he advises companies on technology strategy, product development and market positioning. As a communications expert, he transforms complex concepts into clear, compelling content and forges global media partnerships. His unique hybrid expertise has boosted DevOps and social media communities, increased valuations through investor relations and earned coverage in top-tier media. He has recently led partnerships and campaigns with Axios, MIT Technology Review, The New York Times and the Financial Times, including initiatives at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Holder connects AI innovation, product marketing and media relations to drive growth and shape public understanding. He demystifies and shapes the perception of emerging technologies for technical and executive audiences, focusing on three core areas: AI governance (regulation and ethics), AI training (RAG, human-in-the-loop and prompt engineering) and generative AI (AI agents, knowledge bases and advanced prompting).

Holder recently co-authored Applied AI: A Practical Approach to Harnessing the Power of AI for Your Business for an AI training company serving OpenAI, AWS and Google. He also advised Americans for Responsible Innovation on AI governance initiatives, developing a first-year campaign strategy. His leadership produced high-impact campaigns including The Future of Global AI Governance, a 75-page report and a three-part webinar series.

As publicist for Dr. Karl Friston—whom Wired called “the genius neuroscientist who might hold the key to true AI”—Holder promoted Friston’s seminal book Active Inference: The Free Energy Principle in Mind, Brain, and Behavior. He also organized Friston’s landmark dialogue with Yann LeCun and Sir Tim Berners-Lee at the World Economic Forum, Davos 2024.

Holder is the founder of HolderComm, a tech marketing and communications firm trusted by global brands including IBM, Dell EMC, HP, Intel and Broadcom. He also works at the forefront of Agentic AI product development, building custom AI agents and knowledge base systems for small and midsize businesses.

A hybrid technologist and storyteller, Holder works across the full funnel—from performance marketing, demand generation and ABM to public relations, stakeholder engagement and thought leadership.

Earlier in his career, he served as a presidential and mayoral advisor and spokesperson for the University of Georgia and the city of Athens. He led high-profile events, chaired the marketing and communications committee, developed pioneering websites and produced advocacy documentaries supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Holder holds an M.A. from the University of Georgia, where his 2020 research focused on digital media attention and cognition, human-computer interaction and the collection, analysis and presentation of UX metrics. Grounded in this research, he brings a data-informed approach to messaging, reputation management and cross-functional alignment, turning insight into impact across every channel.
